Jusoor launches 'Skills to Work' inside Syria with more than 145 learners
The first phase of a 12-month project has begun in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Rif Dimashq with five training groups.
More than 145 young Syrians in Damascus, Aleppo, Homs and Rif Dimashq have started the first phase of 'Skills to Work' inside Syria, a 12-month project run by the organization Jusoor. Five training groups are already running in this phase.
The groups cover tracks including E-Commerce and Digital Marketing, as well as Mobile App Coding. The training combines hands-on technical work with employability training.
According to Jusoor, the model is built around what the job market actually needs and has three stages. In Skill-up, learners receive hands-on technical training and employability training. In Match-up, they are linked with employers through internships and job matching.
In Link-up, learners are connected to freelancing and self-employment through digital platforms, portfolio building and AI tools. In parallel, the Jusoor team is reaching out to local employers to open real pathways to work.
The project is supported by the Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair Refugee Education Fund and Glocal Shift. Jusoor said it is proud of every learner taking this step toward their professional future and grateful to its partners.
