Syrian platform Salehli raises $100,000 to expand home services
The pre-seed round was led by EBLA Ventures with participation from Maynger Ventures.
Salehli, a Syrian platform that began in Aleppo, has closed a $100,000 pre-seed funding round led by EBLA Ventures. Maynger Ventures and investors from Syria, the Gulf and East Asia also took part. The company aims to expand from connecting individuals with professional service providers to offering solutions for businesses and institutions.
Users describe the work they need in the app and receive offers from professionals and service providers through a single platform, instead of searching individually. Payment is possible in Syrian pounds or US dollars.
The company plans to use the funding to develop business-focused services, including preventive maintenance solutions, to add new professional categories and to expand to other Syrian cities. Launching a business-to-business (B2B) model is one of the platform's key growth priorities.
The move comes 10 months after Salehli officially launched with support from the Thimar program. During that period the platform attracted more than 15,000 users, verified the profiles of over 3,500 professionals across various fields, and processed more than 10,000 service requests.
Abdulrahman Arnawout, CEO and co-founder, said the company's first months of operations highlighted demand among customers for a simpler and more transparent way to access reliable services, alongside professionals' need for more stable employment opportunities.
