Syria's Alo Hakeem Raises $165,000 to Expand Home Healthcare
The pre-seed round was led by EBLA Ventures.
Syrian healthtech platform Alo Hakeem has closed a $165,000 pre-seed funding round led by EBLA Ventures, with participation from other investors who were not named. The company is based in Aleppo and aims to use the money to develop its digital platform and expand home healthcare services in Syria.
Alo Hakeem was founded in 2025 by Abdullatif Al-Baroudi and Albaraa Abdulsalam. Its platform connects patients and families with licensed healthcare professionals who provide care at home. Services include medical consultations, nursing, physiotherapy, elderly care, laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging, and the platform coordinates appointments through its website and customer support.
The company currently serves patients in Aleppo, Damascus and Hama, and plans to enter four additional Syrian governorates by the end of 2027. It did not disclose its valuation or the identities of the other investors in the round.
Alo Hakeem initially financed itself, building a minimum viable product and testing its service model through direct engagement with patients and medical professionals. It took part in the ScaleUp 2025 programme and received mentorship through ChangeMakers, a programme run by Maynger Ventures, and Thimar, an initiative that helps Syrian startups prepare for investment. EBLA Ventures worked with the startup during its early development and investment preparation.
According to the company, the funding will support the move from the MVP to a fully developed platform, strengthen its technology infrastructure, expand its network of licensed providers and grow its team. The official mobile application is scheduled to launch publicly in November 2026.
